I think I got the last two that were together in the whole damn stand. I bought tickets for me and Patrick, then tried to go around again to get tickets for a friend and it was having none of it. Can't believe how busy it is!

Right, I'm off for a cool shower to calm down from all the excitment.

Thats it. I give up. I have agreed to the terms and conditions screen about 300 times and I just lock out with that delightful:

Our system is currently busy due to a large event on sale.
We apologise for the inconvenience.

latest from CA

1 June, 2006
12:00PM News UpdateCricket fans urged to be patient during ticket sales process
Cricket Australia (CA) today confirmed that an unprecedented volume of interest in the forthcoming 3 mobile Ashes Series had been experienced at ticket agencies throughout Australia this morning.

This unprecedented demand has, in some cases, lead to delays during the ticket sales process.

CA Chief Executive officer James Sutherland is urging Australians to be patient while the ticket agencies ensure as many Australians as possible get to experience cricket action this summer.

“Part of the ticket buying process involves verifying Australian Cricket Family membership numbers and residential addresses. This is a vital ingredient in ensuring Australian cricket fans are in the stands supporting their national team this summer.

“Due to this process and the unprecedented level of volume of interest, systems are sometimes slower than expected. However, I would urge all members of the Australian Cricket Family to continue to be patient through this process as the day continues.”

CA will stage media conference at its headquarters in Melbourne today at 3pm to provide a broader update of how ticket sales are progressing.
