As soon as it arrives off goes Foxtel... or the phone call to Foxtel and the supposed half price or less chat with their retention team 2 days before cut off.
Only way Foxtel will keep me on now will be a free IQ2 (HD) install and half the price of my current costs... Which is 93 bucks for everything except for movies.
The other thing that Apple TV wont do is run VPN's.... Still it's a unit I seriously looked at getting.
Didn't see that Raspberry one though and looks damn useful to me. Can it be networked to the Revo running Windows 7

Re: apple tv
One massive plus for apple tv is that it's one of the few non computer devices that can run XBMC.
XBMC = the holy grail of Home Theatre and Movie and media downloads.

Re: apple tv
Chief issue at the moment is you can't get your hands on one, the initial manufacturing run was 30-40x oversubscribed and sold out in minutes.

Impossible to get at the moment though.
I've just got the latest WD TV Live Streaming media player (now $115 from Officeworks) - awesome.

Re: apple tv
I love my Apple TV too, bought it to watch Netflix which is great. I couldn't find out if Netflix could be used on an Australian WD TV live box as would have preferred that.
