Good article. Going back to the teacher though, I had no idea she was 50. I assumed she was a lot younger and maybe less aware of the Muslim system. She really should have known better, regardless of whether the rest of us think the punishment barbaric.

How often do we read on this forum about how foriegners should respect the laws of their host country?....or 'embrace the culture'?

Or does that just apply to immigrants to the UK?
