Default Any hints on getting into a locked car?

I have stupidly locked my car keys inside my tightly locked up car Unfortunately I have no spare key, and I cant use the old coat hanger trick as the locks are flush with the window. Does any one have any ideas, please. I am so close to forcing the boot open [hatchback].

If it's a early model car, try slipping a plastic ruler inside the weather strip of either of the front doors and try sliding it up and down until you hit the door lock release. Position the ruler just above the door lock and slide it and down vertically.

It used to take me about ten seconds to open a locked car door, as a 'first timer' it might take you a little longer

Have you got another set of keys (any keys)? Try them. Old Fords are renowned for opening with any old key.

Unfortunately, Spartacus, the key is a very long one, so might be a bit awkward finding one that would work

Long length of wire / welding rod with hooked end. Gently prise the top corner of drivers door & wedge it with something . You reach from one side of prised open door to the door handle on the other side.

Cut a tennis ball in half, hold it tight around lock and hit it hard, the air pressure will free the lock.

Will it work? Be serious!

But, on second thoughts, the door handle is useless if the door is locked. Thanks anyway, mate.
