That is really shit K, it's unreal how some employers work. I realise you probably don't have the get up and go to fight it but for your long term sanity you can't let the bastards get away with it especially if you're a good worker.

...and that's what they're hoping mate. I know it's easy for us to say this as we are not having to put up with all the other sh!t you are going through right now. But out of all of your problems that you have right now, this is the one thing you have complete control over and how you decide to tackle it will define the outcome. The other problems are less in your control.

I would imagine that you are pretty pissed off with life at the moment and there would (and should) be a lot of pent up frustration. I think this is the perfect avenue for you to take out this frustration and get back what you deserve!

I have had dozens of phone calls from customers over the last month asking how I am and if they can help. That has been nice but also I believe an indication of the relationship I have built with them.
I don't think it will reflect well on the company when the situation is revealed. People like continuity and I think my treatment will reflect badly on the company.

My boss would like me to go round all the major customers and introduce my replacement next week......To make the transition smooth and help customer confidence.
What do you think?

I hear you and you are correct. Not sure I can though.

Have you explained your concerns to your employer? He may genuinely think he is doing you a favour but hopefully if you can explain to him what you have said to us, he may think twice.

I think you need some karma....I'll start a thread for you, you just need to post on it so that we can all send you positive vibes. OK?

I'll take anything just now!
My employer has set all this in motion without consult. It is done. I have no say and as I can't do the job I am now assigned to I either go in and struggle or resign....

But if you are signed off sick, why would you need to resign?

My immediate reaction would be to tell him to shove it. However...... my second reaction would be to take the guy round and explain exactly why the guy is taking over....

However neither of those two option are going to help you in the long run but if you have that relationship with your customers I think they deserve to know the truth. Tricky one

As I would be going from an office job to working on the shop floor(I job I can't currently perform due to illness) and It seems a 25% pay cut as well as loss of a company funded vehicle, it would seem I have a strong case.

The only question is do I currently have the energy and will to pursue it, especially with the time limit set on such an action.

By god, yes you damn well do. You deserve better than this! :frown: I know you are tired, but bloody hell, I am not. You have our backing. Kick ass, boy! This is wrong. They are wrong.

The employer couched it as doing me a favour by relieving me of the stress in my current post. I wouldn't mind but I am signed off sick until the end of February but have been going in part time to try to do what I can. I am so..... frankly hurt by it.
Oh yeah, I just bet he did. :frown::frown::frown:
****er!
Hon, it's a job. He doesn't care about you, he cares about his cash flow. So ignore the hurt bit... I think you have far more important things to be hurt about right now. I would seek an employment specialist and ask them for a 'one off' $100 conference, where they tell you exactly whether it's worth pursuing. Last thing you feel like, fighting, right? He knows that. He's hoping you just go away and be a good little boy.... Don't do it!

Now, there's more but...I'll send it in a PM.
