Advice on engineering work
Hi
I am looking for some advice on civil/site engineering work in Perth. I have been doing some research on agency websites and have noticed that all jobs advertised seem to be FIFO.
Does anyone know if there is much work in or around the city or does it all involve travelling away?
We are hoping to be in Perth next year, and working away is not something either of us are keen on.
Thanks.

Re: Advice on engineering work
Jen,
can't really help with the Perth aspect but you may be in for a shock when you arrive here ....... it's a bloody big Country
Although based in Melbourne, as an Engineering project manager I am quite often overnighting in some hotel / motel, as it is either an early start on the job entailing a drive the night before to be there at starting time OR a late finish - where you are just too tired to make a 6 to 8 hour drive home.
Good luck with your move
