FFS, so Ireland isn't sitting on an oil well. What has England given the world if not only its people?

Ireland may have many emmigrants but its also world famous for its artists in music and literature , its history and hospitality as well as arguably the most famous alcoholic drink of all time.

Very sad. Perth is full of young Irish at the moment. Walk around the city at lunchtime and they are everywhere - the pasty skin tones really stand out!

A great country brought to its knees.

Perth's always been full of Irish - my Irish Great Granny married my Italian Great Grandfather straight off the boat there in the late 1800's. I had a young irishman in Perth offer me $10k to marry him when I was about 20.

I'm not the biggest fan of the UK, but what they have given the world and civilisation is immense - do a search.

Ireland has given the world some literature, potatoes, Guinness - and its people.

So we've gone from just 'people' to literature, potatoes, Guinness and people. Do some research.

How about the aqueduct?

Cool. Can't be arsed to argue with you.

Not even potatoes - the Spanish introduced potatoes to Europe. The Irish just like to have them done in 4 different ways every meal!!
