Hi Malc n Nic

Where in Perth? Well at the moment we are thinking either Canning Vale/Leeming or Mandurah ...... or Ocean Reef .....or Carine I like the sound of Canning Vale however the beach is calling

It comes down to where my OH gets a job. He is an Electrical Engineer and we are in the nightmare situation of trying to get his A Licence.

We are stopping with friends for 2 weeks in Halls Head, by that time hopefully we will get a rental sorted out somewhere, ready for when the furniture turns up.

We will have to get settled fairly soon so that our two boys can get settled in school, and hopefully make new friends.

You said "bike" is that push bike or Motorbike? I bet Perth is great for both.

Good luck with the new job

Hi Alex and Nige

Youre spreading your net a bit Mandurah to Ocean Reef, Its nice on the north or river coast around Ocean Reef houses are rather large and the price matches the size The drive down the coast road is beautiful. We are in Connolly just up the road from OR, we have to move this weekend to Clarkson Monday temp. I think i`ll skip the pushbike 42 miles a bit to far early mornin. We are looking for a rental just south of river Canning Vale Bull Creek area so its about half way between our workplaces. We have the added factor that our dog FB is coming 1st April so will have to find a rental to accomodate him

Anybody know of a 3 -4 bed rental that will accomodate dogs please be free to pm me will be wanting end of March early April

Sorry for that A & N lost the thread abit

Hi Malc n Nic

The way things are going we will probably stay south of the river. OH is looking at the mineing industry jobs, but also there seems to be quite alot of manufacturing industry around Kewdale so that is our reasoning for looking at Canning Vale, and it doesn't look as though it is that far away from the beach. We spend half our life stuck in traffic in England so ideally we don't want to be living too far away from work over there. Although we do appreciate things are much more spread out.

Good luck with getting a rental. I bet you can't wait to see your dog.

The drivings not as congested as UK good roads. You are not more than 30 mins from beach in the most part. The industrial parts are located in sectors, If your OH is looking to the mines its a fly in fly out 8 days on 8 days off but the money is fantastic, wish I had a trade or experience, could get a nice deposit for a house in about 1 -2 years .My wife works at Sir Charles Gaoirdner Hospital from Connolly takes her about 30 mins at off peak hour. You have to be prepared to travel a bit in the city, it has been strange for me we lived at Rotherham and I only had to travel 4 mile to work but I am gettin used to it. The roads are better with less congestion than the UK

We just live over the hills in Glossop. You will be pleased to know the weather for the last we has been freezing, with small snow showers (not enough to have fun will though). Apparently on Monday there is even a chance of a hurricane . I can't wait for blue skies and sun shine.
