Re: 10 interesting things
I felt really pathetic reading everyone else’s top 10. I haven’t done half as much as you guys. I have never been on tv, radio nor met anyone famous. Here is the best I can do.
1. I am a lefty, colour-blind, short-sighted & flat-footed (my only career option was thus to be an accountant:rolleyes: ). I was devastated aged 14 or so to find out colour-blindness meant I couldn’t do 4 whole pages of various jobs ranging from joining the RAF to being a bin man. My dad and brother were also colour-blind 2. On my dad’s side, he was adopted; on mum’s side grandad was so 3/4's of my family tree is blank. 3. I have a port wine stain all over the fingers of my left hand that gets darker with heat 4. The first time I went overseas was when I was 25 but I have since been to the USA, Canada, Mexico, Spain, Greece, France, Italy, Germany, Ireland, Singapore, New Zealand and Australia (plus 6 hours in Hong Kong airport – does that count as China? ) 5. I once did the MENSA pre-test and scored 155 (150 is a genius) but didn’t take the official test as that meant going into Birmingham at 9am on a Saturday morning 6. I had salmonella food poisoning aged 19 and lost 20lbs in 2 weeks (I put it all back on in weeks and was not allowed to eat baked beans or sprouts etc for 6 months) 7. I was so shy as a kid that I would blush scarlet anytime I was in a room with more than a couple of people. For example, every school assembly, every time I stood in a line waiting to go into class. 8. I have driven a rally car, Formula Ford, Formula Lotus and Caterham on race tracks 9. I have broken a rib twice; once go-karting, once falling over a dog 10. I am an expert diver;) |
