Default UK Citizens Retiring to Barbados is this Possible ?

Is it acceptable to retire to Barbados ?
We are both British Nationals.
I am already retired, my husband retires in March,
Apart from buying a property outright with no mortgage, we would have our savings, and also State & Private Pensions coming in to the country, is this enough to gain entry ?
Is there a threshold on the amount of capital that you would need to get in to Barbados to live ?
Can anyone help with an average cost of living , Everyday Food Items, Wine , Beer, Cigarettes, etc .

Big D cant help on the retirement question but for the daily cost of living cost as UK (if your from there) - although non standard stuff could be 3 times the cost of here ie furniture, cars, clothes and quality street!! ($94 dollars there having a laff thats £30!!)

Stuff that i found cheaper is rent, gas ([petrol) Utilities and Beer

When i did a reckie on basic living costs I could live for a budget of £10,000 a year in Barbados but same style of living would be £20,000 in UK - thats for just me

In 1936 when they launched,a tin cost 2 shillings (about 10 p),now on special at 2 for a tenner in UK. I didn't have enough credit on my card to buy any at Big B.
