Default New Boardwalk Bar

I've been meaning to ask if anyone has tried the new "Boardwalk Bar"? It seems to be quite busy on weekends - they must be doing good business.

Anyone been?

Hi, we went last Saturday for a quick drink with some friends. It was pretty busy but the place was only "okay". Unfortunately the main part of the bar area is situated on the road side of the bar with heavy traffic going past, rather than the Boardwalk side and the toilet facilities are a little undesirable...a chemical loo across the car park in the dark!! We much prefer the bar at the Boardwalk bar at the Allamanda Hotel

I like the Allamanda, too. Their food is really good.

Interesting about the new Boardwalk Bar... it's so busy on weekends, I expected reviews of it to be a bit different. Good to know! Thanks for the info.

Tapas, just next door to the new Boardwalk Bar, is also really good (the same premises where Aqua used to be). It's busy most evenings, even throughout the week. You can go there for just drinks and watch the world go by, and of course you can also dine. Their tapas menu is very popular and very reasonably priced - a great way to dine out with friends!

You need a reservation there, FYI. We tried to go a while back and they were full! I hope they do well; it's a different style so maybe they'll have a niche and do well. I think the rent there is extraordinarily expensive...

Which is why the owner of Champers moved out in the first place. I think they doubled or tripled the rent in like a month.

Tapas is owned by the people from Mama Mia's.. so I do hope they do well. Haven't been to either as yet.
