Graduate, make-up artist... moving to barbados
Hello all,
I am thinking of moving to the Caribbean, mainly to escape the UK weather! Winter and summer judging by last year's washout.
I am 24, single female. I am wondering if this would be a disadvantage in terms of settling in and meeting similar people? ie. it seems a lot of expats are married plus children. Does any one have an opinion on this?
Secondly, I have a 2:1 degree from a top 10 UK university in french and history of art. Plus I am a make-up artist and have worked at fashion shows and also do make-up for weddings.
I am also in the process of starting a new online beachwear company.
Basically, would any of these qualify me for a work permit? I assume not the online company as it wouldn't employ anyone local. But are there graduate training positions in Barbados? Or are most of the vacancies for already qualified people?
Any advice would be welcome
Lucy
