Default Divorce in Barbados

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone can help me? I am a UK citizen and got married in Barbados last May to a Bajan. Does anyone have any idea how to start going about getting divorced when I live in the UK and he lives in Barbados?

Any guidance would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi, divorce in Barbados is no fault. If you have no kids, no assets it's pretty easy but still expensive. Generally you have to be separated for one year, but if you both agree on a date that the marriage 'broke down' then you can select just about any date. You have to appear in court no matter what.
