Back 4 years
As a born and bred Londoner I moved to Vancouver, Canada in 2005 where I spent 6 years. I was unhappy for most of my time there being quite homesick. Even though I tried embracing what Vancouver has to offer ie kayaking, hiking, skiing and made several friends there, all of whom remain good friends, I found Vancouver to be provincial compared to London and felt a sense of not belonging there. I made the move home 4 years ago. Thankfully I didn't sell my house in London, instead choosing to rent it out before moving to Canada, so I still had my home. After 4 years being back I have no regrets at all and am very happy.

doc1,Glad it has been a good move for you. That was such a good decision of yours to hold onto your UK house!
