Default Woy Woy and beaches

Anyone know if WoyWoy is a nice place to live, just outside Sydney?

Also its beaches, Booker, Ocean and Pearl. It says on Wikipedia "It is one of the most dangerous beaches in Australia", how come?

Possibly because of the tides on a quick read of the wiki entry.

I don't know about the others, but Pearl beach is beautiful, although very quiet, with just one nice cafe, and a jetty with boat trips up the river, and lots of pelicans, It looks very safe for children. I lived nearby at Daley's Point, and there are lots of wonderful beaches within a short drive. Woy Woy is on the train line for Sydney, which takes over an hour but is very cheap.
