working hours in oz
Hi
I am going to be a student in oz soon and my husband will be coming with me.....our agent said that he can work full time " no worries " but nearly everyone else I have asked said he can only work 20 hours like me.
My question is when we go and we apply to work, and my husband is out looking for a job, is it going to be easy or hard to find work considering he can work only 20 hours and would any employers take on board that immigration say 20 but maybe get you to work more without showing it through the systems....
I mean once we are there don't immigration have bigger fish to fry than someone working a few extra hours....
What does anyone think ??
Thanks
Shelley

Re: working hours in oz
Hi Shelley not sure about the answer to this one but i thought i would bump you question up for you !
I am pretty sure that he can work full time without restriction - seems odd that he wouldn't be as you are the one that is the student not him.
Anyway I hope you find an answer !

It all depends on what visa he is going over on. If its a student visa, i think the hours of work are restricted. Best to check on the immigration website though.
