OK, I am in no way defending him, as I have been on the end of one of John's "rants" once before, when I was trying to help him out, but - sorry, he isn't a troll! Otherwise I'd have ordered food and stayed around with the rest of you!!
Hes a Pom in Sydney, married to a Kiwi, on a spouse visa - there are a few posts on the Immigration forum about his situation. I sent him a lot of info when he was first coming over here, then he went off the deep end at the last minute and had a go at me for no apparent reason.

So - John - if you're reading this, learn not to go off pop when people are trying to help. If anyone had known about the mattresses, don't you think they would have said?? You've gained nothing by tonight, and have lost the goodwill of (probably) the majority of posters on here!

And everyone else - what sort of pizza shall we get? ;)

To be honest Polly...this is just a bit of fun. I've read some of his posts and can see he's not a troll, albeit he's a plonka for coming on here and demanding people give him an answer.

Getting annoyed at people, especially when they have tried to help....and then writing lots of threads on the same topic and geting angry is no way to endear himself. It's not his right to get answers and if people can help, then generally they do :rolleyes:

Having said that, I wish him no ill will and knowing the others as I do, I'm sure they feel the same.

So Kiwi luvva.....pull your neck in, put your toys back in your pram...and we'll help you in any way we can :rolleyes:

Hey, Phoenix, I know its a bit of fun and in fact I think its even funnier when you read the posts back knowing a bit of his background - there was one about loving a Kiwi that tickled me!!
Part of my reason for posting is to point out to HIM that he has no right to get answers, or get annoyed by the lack of them. Don't think any of us wish him any harm, and I hope he gets the point that he needs to be a little more friendly next time.
Now, as I'm settled in for this thread to get even more entertaining - wheres me pizza! (and I can't believe I've just been hunting for mattresses in ebay! What is the world coming too!!!)

Well, we did look at foam memory mattresses in Fortitude Valley in Brisbane. I think it was in '40 Wink', they are a chain so its available in alot of places.

The mattress was called 'Tempur', developed by NASA, blah blah blah. I loved it, but Mrs JTL wasn't so keen, and I could see here reasoning, its not so breathable. I think it could be rather sweaty.
