Default Windward Apartments Mooloolaba SC

Just wondered if anybody had stayed in the Windward Apartments on the Esplanade in Mooloolaba. Thinking of booking to stay there for three weeks when we arrive in Oz. It does seem really cheap (it is low season) and it does look okay. Has anyone any experience of the place?

Thank you in anticipation of any comments.

Hi Shelley,
Windward is a older apartment block.

We looked at staying in one when we first arrived, The only one they had available at the time was old and tired , so we stayed elsewhere. I am sure they have some refurbished apartments that are ok.

If you are comming over in the low season it will should be fairly easy to get a place to rent, Maybe book somewhere for a week and then look about when you are here .

Hi Sir Les

I know what you mean. We stayed at the Malibu in Mooloolaba in Nov last year and had ocean views. We had intended to go back there once we made the final move just whilst we got things sorted, but it is a tad pricey, so just really wondered if anyone else had been to this particular apartment complex (Windward).

Thanks

My husband and I and 3 kids booked something on the internet when we emigrated over here at Alexander Headland which is down the road from Mooloolaba. We had never been here b4 and when we landed we were so disappointed in the accommodation...i drove round in a hire car whilst the rest slept in a grotty apartment and fell across some new apartments at Cotton Tree which is 5 minutes from Mooloolaba. They were just beautiful, (we have travelled quite a bit since we have been here and have found them one of the best.) It is called Rovera Apartments, Cotton Tree..5 star facilities and walking distance to everything...brilliant especially if you have kids...self catering with all amenities and very clean with own pool and well i could just go on and on(dont worry i dont work for them, just feel that when we landed we were disappointed in accommodation as they dont seem to bother much..all very dated and cane furniture)but not this place...good luck and let me know if you need any further help..it can be so daunting!!!!Maggie

They look nice but $880 a week is a little bit steep, I suppose you get what you pay for though

Kevin....oh yes without a doubt over here i found you certainly get what you pay for...it was $800 when we stayed there, that seems a lot now we have the ozzie $ but when first coming over with the £ i thought it was ace..we decided that for the first 2 weeks we deserved it! We carried on travelling for a further 10 weeks stopping at other aaccommodationas far as Cape Tribulation and there are a lot of grotty accommodation that is cheap and cheerful...i have nightmares about cane furniture now, as soon as i see faded 1980.s cane furniture and kitchens i'm off.....the nice apartments around Mooloolaba are between $700 and $1200 a week. Maggie
