Default Wills Day

With it being “Wills” day on 7th June (perhaps a new public holiday is in order?), I was wondering how other expats have done this.

We did the following:

a) Will (who gets what)
b) Enduring Power of Attorney (authority to get at the accounts)
c) Enduring Guardianship (what to do if I’m a dribbling idiot)

Up until this point, we only had our old UK wills. If we hadn’t done this, would the UK will have had any authority here?

Also, being Scottish and a bit tight, we did these ourselves rather than forking out the dosh.
