We were lodged Dec 07. I cried with relief! The constant state of limbo and not knowing is terrible. Now we can move forward and finally prepare for saying goodbye to my Mum and Sister who have been going through limbo land with us.
Keep going - it feels great to have got the bloody thing after sooo long!
Hope you here soon. Lou :fingerscrossed:

Congratulations and best wishes on your journey:thumbsup:

Re: Will they ever let me in?

I am terrible with this but basically, skills assessment took us from May 2007 until September because I ambled along. We were lodged for the visa Dec 17th 07. Finally got a case officer Nov 08 and had meds done Dec 16th. Alex was recalled in Jan and had to see a consultant paediatrician. Appointment was March 16th. Meds were sent March 20th from the GP and we heard today we passed!

Along the way we have had several possible divorces for unacceptable behaviour (Les being the petitioner), wine consumption has increased rapidly and I changed my mind 3 times because I thought it was all so stressful. I felt really bitter towards the agency because they didn't update us and I didn't know who else to blame. Every time Take That play I thnk of my Mum and try to imagine how hard saying goodbye will be and look dpressed. This has resulted in me looking as mad as a box of frogs in the middle of the operating theatre at work when the radio is on. It's just horrible really for those of us who don't thnk of anything else and I think I had the occasional go at Les because he is so laid back and hasn't come near to developing an ulcer.

Keep at it and remember you really aren't alone. Also, the time has I suppose made us research more and be sure of where we want to go. Have also got a few pen pals on the way!

Good Luck :fingerscrossed: Lou x
