Friday night was certainly a very eventful night. We went to Mandurah for the evening to soak up atmos and watch the fireworks. The fireworks were cancelled but there were two bush fires visable from town so people stood around watching those for a while. We then returned home and decided to have a drink on the balcony and that was when we witnessed the most spectacular lightening I have ever seen. Our house is high on a hill in Port Bouvard with panaramic views of the ocean and every time lightening struck the whole ocean lit up, it certainly made up for the cancelled fireworks.

Just watched a large tree light up as the lightening struck not too far from our house, amazing noise.

We are having a massive storm up here at the moment !!! thunder lightning and its lashing down and I think its heading your way so don't bother watering the garden tonight

It was a bit further up than the Guilderton turnoff, sandelwood road, Redfield park ! not far from where you are in Sovereign hill.
the storm passed a while ago now, but it was great sitting outside watching the sky show with a nice glass of wine
