I think he may mean that an average Australian doctor will make more in a month than the average Indian doctor will make in a year and consequently you can't compare the medical costs of the 2 countries side by side. Common sense really.

Well, I compared the costs and that comparison worked well for me. Common sense really as it probably saved me a couple of thousand dollars....

It's not feasible for most Aussies to be treated in India though.
I heard there are Aussies who do travel to Thailand to get dental work done. In fact I recall someone here recommending just that.... |

Yes, dental work seems very expensive here. It's definitely cheaper to have a heart attack than getting a crown done :eek:

The statement in the title reads Why Australia is Expensive but has a question mark. However then the post talks about temperatures :confused: and the quality of rentals in the UK, US and Aus. |

Re: Why Australia is Expensive?
Getting back to the original question, Australia is expensive due to two reasons;
Firstly it is the land of cartels. Secondly the people are, for what ever reason, gullable. How many times have we heard the excuse, small population/built for Aussie conditions trotted out to justify high prices, and they belive it:banghead: |
