Tried changing a nappy in St Kilda's only loo's a couple of years ago. Reminded me of the scene from "trainspotting".

Sorry my only memory of SK other than the rain - wouldn't go back there even for a coffee.

St Kilda has a great cafe culture, best cake shops in Melbourne & some great Aussie bands play at the Espy Hotel but some areas can be a bit rough & although I don't mind a wander around St Kilda every now & then I wouldn't like to live there.

Hmm, yes, it does have some less than desirable qualities and areas! Saying that, there are lots of good bars and restaurants in St Kilda. I guess for me, it's a place that might have tempted me to live in my 20s cos of its vibrancy, but not in my 30s with a young family! (Although there are nicer, quieter bits to St K and property can be pricey.)
