Only people whinging today were the Aussies at the pub complaining how hot it was. Ended up moving inside into the airconned TAB (like ladbrokes) room. I was enjoying my beer in the breeze.

As usual, ACT gets overlooked. Well, scutteruk never whinges, so life must be really great there!

This whing was posted on the britvics site, although admittedly it was posted somewhere else first and then posted onto britcvics and does appear to be from someone in West Australia:
QUOTE:
My gripes about OZ:
The fact you need to do a course to get employment.
Too hot to work in (outdoors for me, so it's a nightmare)
Flies from the end of Sep to January are worse than I could have ever imagined
The cost of having the internet are high and the fact you pay for download (which here means visiting ANY website)
The TV is rubbish
The electricity costs are high if you run a pool ($180-200 a month for us last summer)
The fact they still love Tupperware and can't ever live without it (lol)
The lack of choice in clothing: either cheap or expensive, no in between
All the furniture shops sell the same items, so everyone has the same stuff!!!
Centrelink are rude and uninformative
I don't like HAVING to pay for 3rd party insurance on the car 'rego' I would rather pay on my own insurance.
I don't like the property stamp duty
I dont like having to pay stamy duty EVERYTIME I buy a second hand/new car.
The houses aren't geared up for cold winters and we sit freezing indoors.
I don't like having to stay in because it's to hot to breath outside
I STILL HAVEN't BEEN ABLE TO GET A JOB AFTER NEARLY A YEAR
Their attitude to women who want to work part time is awful
I find that a lot of Aussies are blinkered and have never left W.A but keen to say it's the best place to live in the world.
I find the fact you can get a 'extraordinary' driving licence if you get banned for drink driving, so you can still drive to and from work bizzare!!!
The supermarkets are not as good as the UK
The wages are lower but the cost of living is the same as where I came from in the UK.
You have to show the contents of your bag in almost every shop.
I can't get my daughter decent shoes, they all seem to wear trainers to school?
I hate the fact that they sell puppies and kittens in the shop windows. It's cruel
The cost of a decent hair cut and colour is very expensive and more if you want it blow dried!!?
Wow what a whinger!!!!
There are a few things I do like such as:
The kangeroos
The sound of the kookaburras
Mindarie Keys (a suburb in Perth)
Going to the beach, but it doesn't replace missing my family
The spring tempretures
The thought of seeing dolphins (not seen any yet!)
:UNQUOTE
NB - these are not my opinions whatsoever only posted it on this thread to add to the debate.

Just curious in general! The only thin I really have to whinge about Australia is this:
When the missus and I were living in England we lived in relative peace and quiet. Whereas now instead of living 19,000KMS away from my arch nemesis aka the Mother-In-Law she is only a 2 hour or so train journey away
And that's only beacuse we used to live in the same town as here when I arrived in aus. but luckily we moved to a different town just before christmas for work. But it didn't help that when we moved away to where we are now, one of the missus' parting comments to the MIL were "Oh don't worry mum, when we move into our new flat you can come and stay as often as you want for as long as you want"!!!! (I think I'll add another few of these at this point -
) And now I have the pleasure of MIL's company from this sunday until further notice :<NJJ not chuffed at all with situation from this weekend :<
