Does anyone remember the thread about shopping trolleys in Australian supermarkets? Apparently they're not up to the wonderful UK standard!!! Reading some of this rubbish you'd think Brits did nothing except spend their whole life in shops.

And bloody Aunt Bessies Yorkshire puddings. I'd never heard of them 'till I got to Oz. What's the matter with people, don't they know how to make Yorkshire pudding?

I arrived in Perth with a degree of trepidation because of all the negative bollocks that gets written on this newsgroup. Within a few days I realised how wrong I was to be nervous. Sure, some things here are annoying (estate agents for one) & realise that certain things could be done better (traffic rules for instance). But overall I'm really enjoying it here. You can get everything you need here. People are friendly. The sun shines. The nightlife is good. The job market is white hot. Too many people on here push their own negative agenda. It might be crap here in your mind. That doesn't mean it's going to be crap for everyone else. The only way to discover what it is like is to come out here & find out for yourself.

Make sure the fat (preferably dripping) is so hot it's smoking before you put the mix in, and no opening the oven door for a peek.
