HI Kaz n Jeff,

We are in Settlers Hills and live nr to 80 Rd. Have you bought the house that is opposite the Ridge? (well just before it?)

We moved here from the lovely town of Chorley, although I must quickly add that I am a Yorkshire girl by birth and went to Chorley to take a tad of class and sophistication (like flogging a dead horse!!)

Kalamunda, in the hills east of Perth & loving it. It's very quiet here but we've got everything we need. There's several pubs, restaurants, banks, a Coles etc & 24Mb ADSL2 internet. I wake to the sounds of the bush every morning & the drive into the city for work is a pleasure.

It's all good.

Leeming is around 15 mins from the coast and the bus into the city would take around 20-25 mins. Your girls would want to spend time in Cottesloe which is probably 25 mins drive. For shopping, you're around 10 mins from Garden City. There's a recreation centre in Leeming. Fremantle is 15 mins or so drive away.

Coogee beach and Fremantle are 15 minutes away, Cottesloe 25 minutes, City on a good day 15 minutes. If traveling in peak hours the City can be anything up to an hour drive by car due to the railway works, however those works should be finished this year if the workers don't go on strike again.

The Roe Highway (stage 7) is just about complete which will give you easy access to the hills and the airport.

All in all it's a nice suburb and there's not much crime.

Enjoy your stay :)
