Duncraig here! (Though I didn't have much of a choice as hubby had been living there for 3 years already  )

I do really love it though. 10 mins max to 4 shopping centres, beach, all sporting areas, and schools etc.. and 20 mins max to the city. Takes me about 25 mins in FULL ON traffic to get to work in Subi.

We rented in Kinross when we arrived........when it was time for us to buy we didnt really want to move on. The kids love it here. A nice quiet suburb, but with 4 parks within walking distance, a few shops and only 5 minutes to Joondalup.Only thing missing is a PUB!!!!

We are headed for south of the river - starting by house sitting for couple of months in Bicton then looking for our own place in Kardinya or round about there.

We are north in Craigie (Whitfords area), as one poster said its a bit scruffy but its safe and quiet with easy access to everywhere and we've almost doubled our money since we bought so we're not complaining!!!!

hi there

We've lived in Rockingham now for about 3 years and still love it! The area is really booming price wise with the new railway sheduled to be finished next year (well if the workers EVER stop going on strike that is!). Our house has gone up over $100,000 since we bought it and we keep getting letter dropped by the real estate people asking if we know our house is in a "property hotspot" and would we like to sell? ...erm no I think I'll wait until the prices go through the roof first! lol!!

Anyway, Rockingham is quite a large area stretching from the beach right through to Baldivis (which comes under Rockingham Shire) so there is a massive choice of beachside living, urban surburbia or country retreats to be had.

I think this link still works, bit basic, but gives you an idea of whats available around these here parts: rockingham or try:discover rockingham

Mandurah is also growing rapidly, in fact anything along the new railway corridor is worth looking at before the house prices get any sillier!!

Good luck with wherever you decide on, it's a very personal decision so the best advice is to check it out for yourselves when you get here.

If you want any other info about south of the river, feel free to PM me.

love sophia xx

We are in Baldivis and loving it. Moved into our own house 2 days after our first anniversary of moving here. (We started building at just the right time it would seem).

I work in Freo and hubby in Mandurah so we are pretty well placed.
