Hi all me and the family are coming to oz through the 136 visa so we were wondering where the best place to settle is iv heard alot about the gold coast and Perth. But we dont know the difference between them, if any, we have a 2 yr old boy so schooling is very important to us. But if anyone else could recommend an area that would be great!!

carnt comment on perth but can definatly give the old thumbs up to the goldcoast

Brisbane seems the place to be at the moment due to great all year round climate and also cheaper housing than Sydney and Melbourne.

Hi Steve,
Just wondering whereabouts you live on the GC and what schools you would recommend in that area. We are hopefully coming over early 2008 (depending upon house sale etc). We have two sons aged 7 and 18mths. Any info would be gratefully appreciated.

we live at worongary now but we did rent at varsity in order to get out daughter in the college there
