Default Where does one stay in Darwin?

One is taking ones wife to Darwin for a special wedding anniversary. And looking for recommendations as to where to stay, we will be there for three nights.

I am looking for a decent hotel. I have thought about the Skycity hotel but worried it might be too noisy, and we aren't nightowls.

Any thoughts, three nights midweek in June.

Thanks.

June might be right on the edge of it but dry season prices are excessive!

I like Mantra Pandanus but somewhere closer to the Esplanade might be a bit more holiday-like. MP is just a 5 min walk though.

Quest apartments are right in the city, but away from Mitchell Street (Pubs and clubs). I stayed for 3 weeks and it was great.

Crowne Plaza is also nice, only stayed 1 night but very good.

Sky City is OK, shouldn't be too noisy, the Casino and entertainment are a couple of floors below the rooms. They do an excellent buffet breakfast, we have enjoyed several there.

hope this is of use.

Hey guys, Thanks for these.

I've always been put off by the 'vibe' name. Makes me think of a very lively young place.
