Hi, me my partner and daughter whos 10 are looking to the BIG Australian move. Weve found out alot of information from friends that have already moved over but as we have a child with us our circumstances and upheaval differ to there's.
My main concern at the moment is sorting schooling for my daughter but there are many things im unsure of, school terms, cost and is it easy for children to get into a school??
If anyone has any information on this it would be a big help.
Also, we are looking to moving to the Cairns, Queensland area, does anyone know what the cost of living is like there and the job opportunities?
I myself am hoping to enroll in a college corse, not sure of the details yet but im also hoping to get a part time job while studying.
Any information will be muchly appreciated.

Specifically to your thread title, where you start is by looking into whether or not you can get a visa.
If you have already got that sorted out then I recommend you ask a mod to move your thread to the main Australia forum, this is the immigration area for visa queries etc, you will get better responses on schools and lifestyle questions over there.
Good luck with your move.
