when are you leaving?

There seems to be a lot of us leaving in the next few months - who knows some of us might even be sitting together on the flight and we might not even know:)

I just thought that it would be nice to have a chat if anyone was going on the same day.

We are flying with Emirates on 5 October to Brisbane.

We are hoping to fly around 3/1/05 to Perth via Singapore hopefully - flights not booked yet as waiting for a buyer for the house. Hoping for the 3/1 or thereabouts so that the boys can have a little while to get to know the area before starting school.

Aug 15 from Denver to Los Angeles, staying with my dad for a few days, then Aug 19 to San Francisco, then Sydney, then Melbourne.

Ugh! I'm plundering my United airlines frequent flyer miles, before they collapse completely, so I couldn't choose the route. But at least it's first and business class :D

THE PLAN

Looking at one way from Heathrow on the 26th Oct to Brisbane with Singapore Airlines. 12 o'clock midday.

Price for 3 adults (12 yr old daughter) & 1 child. about £1600.

Thinking of booking into serviced apartment for 2 weeks and getting mini bus up to Sunshine Coast. With all the cases, Golf clubs and my surf board will need the space!!!!

2 bed apartment with pool, playroom, free internet on the beach at Alex Headland $1500 for 2 weeks. Sounds ok?

Paul&Ann-Marie Jul 22nd 2004 5:34 am

As long as everything goes ok with the ct scan then we shall be:

Departing: manchester at 10.00 am 16th August 2004 via singapore with singapore airlines. Two adults ,two kids £1,541.00.

Arriving: Brisbane at "no idea" on the " not bothered " of august.

Just get me out of here before the men in the white jackets take me away.

Paul.

Blossy Jul 22nd 2004 6:10 am

We fly with Singapore Airlines for Sydney departing 17th Aug (Heathrow)

We were originally planning to fly to Perth via Singapore on the same flight as you on the 16th August, but the House is taking longer to sell than we expected so we aint got a clue when we will be able to get away

I hope I am not outta order posting this, but....I flew from KL to Vienna with Lauda...they were aweful!!!!!

If you do go with them....make sure you take food and drink with you....they only came around with either at the very start of the trip and at the very end....nothing at all in between....I have never felt so dehydrated.....they begrudgingly gave me some water after asking a few times....The plane felt particularly cramped too.....

It was one of the worst trips I have taken.....

:)

Oh, and we leave LHR on 14/9/04 for Florida...there for 2 weeks and arrive Melbourne on 30/9/04

29th Oct MAN - DXB - SIN - BNE.

Sadly it's a return flight as visas are a long way off, so we thought a holiday / recce / job-hunting trip (i.e. fishing for a 457 sponsorship) might be in order ;)

Planning on taking Melbourne in too.

jana1 Jul 22nd 2004 9:57 am

I hope to fly to Brisbane in January with my daughter - visa permitting!!
