You should get her to buy some of those fancy flared side ones much comfier under your stubbies. Ooer madam

To get this thread back on track it really sinks in when you've sold your house and your car and have no keys to anything it's the weirdest feeling ever not having keys in your pocket.
Oh and when you get to the airport and are waiting for the plane, that really makes your sphincter twitch

I know I will regret asking this but, am I normal?
Yup, you sure are, Bridie. When are you flying? Sorry if you've posted that before but we're having our own dose of lack of reality here and I've probably missed it.

We're in Freo right now, after a month in Sydney, and it's just beginning to sink in. If someone said "do you think of going home?" - I would say that I don't have a home. It's weird thinking of it that way because it makes me feel vaguely vulnerable but I don't yet feel that Oz is home, but I have certainly let go of England big time. We're starting to settle - it will help not to be living out of a suitcase! I've finally started driving again and that has helped too. Took me a while - I wasn't brave enough to drive in Sydney! But I drove on my own from Perth to Freo yesterday so that's boosted the confidence. Once we've got a house sorted, and our things are around us again, I'm sure Oz will feel very much like home.

It's going to take time to sink in, but in the meantime, just enjoy it. And have a safe journey. Hope to maybe meet you here if you're headed for Perth!

I haven't really spent any time on here for a while, so I missed the fact that things are moving pretty quickly for you right now. Excellent!!

Very best of luck Bridie; it'll sink in when you get there!!

I think you are normal. I still feel like that and we have been here five months. I can't believe how easy it has been to settle here. I just feel like we have moved house.

Hubby booked all three of our Aussie flights through them. We found them to be very good.
