When The Container Comes!
Hi all,
Shipping all the "junk" from Uk to OZ - Port of Melbourne, so what happens once the container arrives at Port? who calls you?
I know that it will have to go through customs and AQS, is this arranged by a local agent, if so is their any recommendations?

Your agent this side should ring you when it's all been cleared to arrange a delivery date. It will be Christmas all over again when it gets here!

You'll also (usually) have to pay the AQIS fee unless it's been included in your shipping costs (which it generally isn't).
