We've had snow here in November on more than one occasion. Nothing more than a dusting at my elevation (520 metres above sea level) but more up higher on Mount Macedon (1001m summit) and on other hills around Melbourne.
The Dandenongs (on the edge of Melbourne) had a dusting of snow on Christmas day in 2006 and there was about 30cm up on Mount Baw Baw. Some people went straight from Christmas dinner to skiing.

28 where we were today, our born and bred Brisbane kids said it was too hot LOL. Luckily English heat is so much more enjoyable that that pesky Aussie heat

9C here and cloudy at 12:30pm after around 37mm of rainfall over the past couple of days.
I don't know how to convert that to UK units. I guess Chris can give me the formula.
I've never complained of being too hot at 28C. I can actually imagine at 50 degrees+ latitude where the summer sun must be pretty weak in comparison to Australia it would feel much cooler.
I don't know how to convert that to UK units. I guess Chris can give me the formula.

35 without any respite from Aircon becomes a little wearing after a time. It's also why I've got my eye on a Tasmanian retirement rather than a Queensland one.
