We're in the middle of getting quotes for removal to Perth at the beginning of September on a shared groupage basis.

Have decided only to take personal stuff, tools. bike, computer and 2 smallish tables we really like but all the other stuff (suite, bedroom furniture, tables/chairs etc) we will be selling.

Our question is - is there anything that people who've already made the move to Oz wish they'd have taken ?

Or is there anything electrical which considerably more expensive in Oz than here ???

We took 25 boxes and nothing else! (except for the kids!)

I wish that we had taken a few more blankets and winter clothing, it does get cold in the winter! If you have heaters, take them, you will need them.

We bought all our furniture on arrival, but a word of warning, we made the mistake of not really evaluating the cost of things, ie we went out and spent, without really worrying, after all we had all this money! A few months down the line, we would not have done the same, that was our mistake mind, we all live and learn!
