My only other thing is Boots' 'The Sanctuary' body souffle (it even sounds lovely!) moisturiser. I shipped 3 tubs over, but I've almost finished my 2nd :( :( . It's just such a heavy tub, I feel I can't ask anyone to bring it over.

Mr Logan/Barina Boy, brought some Fortnum and Mason marmalade over (apparantly it's the best, ..don't know I don't eat it), and he's almost run out. :scared:

Re: What Shops Are You Missing????

I find Bonds and especially, Rio do good men's underwear - buy them in K-Mart. No worries. Just buy a pack of 7 last a year or so. (you can have Monday til Sunday).

I miss - although miss is the wrong word - old fashioned men's shirts from London. You cannot buy a decent cutaway collar here with stiffened points easily - even John Lewis do them. I used to get shirts from TM Lewin.

Hackett - they do good clothes like that.

I always notice suits. Just wearing a suit is not enough - your collar will let you down in 95pc of cases - always bent or crumpled, or the suit does not fit properly - especially the metro-sexual 'modern' straight ones which I avoid like the plague.

You cannot beat a single breasted Saville Row style (from anywhere in the world) suit tailored at the waist properly. I have 4 all tailored to perfection. They have lasted me 12 years so far and I plan to use them for another 10.

Tonight, Matthew, I am going to a dinner - its not black tie - so I'm gonna be wearing a formal hacking jacket and trousers - sometimes lounge suits can look boring. Sizing and fitting is more important than what it is. ie you can wear a suit but still look scuffy.

Nice to have a giggle! Ummmm do you think I'm a bloke? Check out Photo Post, cos I most certainly am not. You don't give any indication as to where you are. However if you were in Oz, I'd be surprised if your wife didn't miss even one shop that maybe sold one item that she particulartly liked in the UK or wherever home was.

But thanks for the giggle anyway... :)

Hi Michaela,

I wanna know the same thing!! Pumpkin Patch is ok, but not much selection for boys.

I'd like to find Next/H&M quality/price clothes for my little un.

What I like about Oz is the individuality of the shops, and that should be valued as once it's gone you have an identikit soulless place. There's recently been bit of discussion about the problem of "clone towns" and here's a good analysis of the situation in the UK => http://www.newstatesman.com/Economy/200501240020 .
