Gav's a Mining Explosives Engineer. He's the one that got the job over there (not much call for that over here anymore :) )

I'm a lowly Accounts Assistant :o I would love to fall into a job that will give me training to qualify straight away, but I fear that won't happen yet. I may well be shuffling papers for a bit, but I don't mind - it'll be in Australia! :D

Hi I am an Insurance Assessor and would like to continue with same career in Melbourne if I can, but to be honest i will do anything if I can earn a wage. My Wife is a PA so she should be ok for work.

Husbands a chartered accountant, which is on the MODL, and I have 15 yrs as a PA (or EA as they call it in Oz), although currently a stay-at-home mum. Hubby will definitely stick to accountancy and I would like to go back to work part-time.

No, true! It was a strange profession to pick up, but he always knew it'd take him overseas.

I'm an Accountant and hubby is an Engineer.

I'll stick to accountancy but hubby fancies a change of scene, job wise.

Both in IT - me in Risk and Security, wife in Project Management. Would love to get out of IT (and office rat-race in general) once we get to Oz and preferably start out own business - but don't know what yet. Have toyed with ideas such as B&B, cafe, boutique hotel, dive centre - but reality will probably be that, to start with at least, we'll end up doing exactly what we do now :(

Me journalist/graphic designer - missus web designer. I plan to open a coffee shop and the missus plans to carry on doing web stuff. As will I of course, if it all goes to shit. ;)

My hubby is a Shipwright, boatbuilder/repairer & I'm a stay at home mum bringing up my three little darlings :scared:

I'm a Civil/Structural CAD draughtsman and will be continuing that in Oz.
Wife is training to be a Mental Health Nurse having been a MH Support Worker for last 10 years.

Hoping to go to Cairns, or if not Cairns then Brisbane or if not Brisbane then Perth depending on work availability. :rolleyes:

i am/was a sheet metal worker but then the 3 sheet metal workers were i work got told your going back to college to re train as tig welders,both dirty shite jobs but it made it a lot easier for us to get our visa's :beer: little chris my wife is just finishing her first year at college doing account's and one day i hope i might be able to be a kept man :)

Hi,
I'm a teacher and other half is a carpenter and joiner. We hope to continue in the same line of work when we get to Brisbane but if it doesn't happen then it won't be the end of the world. We'll just find other work.

I'm co-owner of a swimming pool design & construction company in Perth called Aquability Pools.
(Our website is under construction at the moment).
