what happens next?
hello australia. can anyone tell me what happens once u get in to australia. have passed the t.r.a forms and paid for our visas but dont know what happens once you get there do the government help u to find work and housing or is it a case of there ya go sort yourself out.

Unless you go to South Australia, they give you a bit of support for the first few weeks.
Find you accomodation and meet you at the airport etc.
Other wise you are on your own. You can get a lot of useful advice from this site though.

At best they want you to bend over backwards and pay loads of tax. You reckon they will spend money to try and help you settle in??? Get real.
