what to do when we get there ??
hello all this could be a long one !!
well me and the oh have got our visa's 3 weeks ago and now in the process of booking flights and such,but i ant got a clue what to do when we get there my oh is a paint sprayer so he's sorted but i'm wanting to start a family quite soon and i dont no about maternity pay ! or medicare ?? any advice would be nice ! xx melly xx

Hi Melly, I've been looking into this as I am thinking we might start a family when we get out there too so have done a bit of research. Are you on a perm visa? If so, you will be covered my medicare for pregnancy etc but they don't have state maternity pay in oz - you get a lump sum (baby bond I think they call it) which is about $5K when the baby is born! That's as far as my research has gone but good luck with it all!
