Evening everyone just thought I'd tell you about our family day out having the dreaded MEDICALS!!
Have just returned from having medicals done at Hitchen. We picked the kids up early from school arrived at the hospital half an hour early, (great I thought organised for once in my life) but oh no, stupid me didn't realise you had to have TWO bloody pictures for everyone! No problem the receptionist said go down to Sainbury's and get them done there. Sat in traffic for 10 minutes to get half mile down road to Sainsburys, got twenty pounds worth of coins only to find the photo machine not working, great we now spend another half hour walking around hitchen with three kids and hubbie moaning (of course i get the blame as usual)!! trying to find a photobooth. In the end we had to go to Kodak shop, ask them if they do passport size photos, yep no problem says the lady but have to stand out side the shop posing for our pictures with some little indian man holding up a white backdrop for us! LOL!
Finally got the pics done arrived twenty five minutes late for our app, had to cut up pics, stick them on forms, (Blue Peter eat your heart out)!!, we then had to do urine samples, mine done no prob, Les (hubbie) came out with his totally filled to the brim!, boys done theirs with pee almost overflowing the edges, and then the five year old, (have you ever tried to catch pee coming out of a five year old girl), well lets say got more over my hand than in the pot.
We all finally get the giggles, staff wanted to get home I think, Dr Stanley gave us all the meds, boys had xrays, height checks, quick eye check, looked in ears and throat, they had to touch their toes and had a quick listen to their chests. Five year old had same but no xrays, Mine and hubbies was the same plus blood test, doctor had a quick grope of my boobies (didn't need to wear my padded bra after all)! and thats it. £750 later and totally stressed out!
Good luck to everyone who is having theirs soon. I can now have a ciggie and a beer and not worry about it!!

I hated the medicals. The doctor asked my 10yr old daughter if she would like to help him take mine and her dads blood..........fortunately she said no!! Also thought she wasn't going to manage to do the urine sample, I had to make her drink water, fortunately she managed to do it, otherwise not sure what we would have done.
