emms21....hi, hope interview goes well. Very similar to management questions for amb serv/paramedic course in UK, eg basic airway management question going right through to how you'd manage an airway using adv. techniques.
Other advice I can give is to research their service from website etc.
good luck :)

tentoesover....hi, took about 8 or 9 days from tele-interview to getting job offer, was told it could take around 2 weeks.
:fingerscrossed:

Mine was e-mail as well followed by written offer and contract through the mail.
As soon as that happened it was a mad rush!
Visa process starts straightaway, lots to sort for that.
Start getting certified copies of passport, birth certs, qualification certs etc as soon as you can, although immigration agent does send you a list of what you need

:D

Thanks Phil,

Will be 2 weeks tomorrow and still haven't heard. Not so sure I nailed the video conference, so needless to say my confidence isn't so high right now. But oh well, we'll hopefully soon find out either way. :)

Anyone know what SJA WA scope of practice is compared to the rest of Aus? I'm planning a move there (hopefully). Being a bit of a square I like to get informed early

Hey Carlos, physical was long, but very straight forward. As far as physicals I have done in the past, this was no more difficult. I am not familiar with the NHS testing. But definitely it is nothing to lose sleep over. Good luck with it,

Garrett.

Congrats to you! Bet you're well chuffed!! :D
Been in Perth for a week now, getting used to the area before starting in April. Hope the visa process goes smooth for you. It seems to go through really quick!!

Great city, really great weather, not been below 30c during the day!! Running round sorting property, bank, car etc etc. All good fun!!

My best advice to you all.......get here a month before you start so you can enjoy Perth and have plenty of time to sort out a rental or buy a house!

Good luck to you all

Re: Western Australia Ambulance Service/SJAA

Thanks Phil,

Glad to hear you are settling in.

Did you sort out your licensing prior to landing in Perth?

What documents were required of you for the visa?
I still haven't signed the contract yet, and I am assuming the visa will almost immediately follow. If I had a head start on this, it would be less time I would require for the visa.

Did you have to do a medical for the visa?

Feel free to answer the above. I am sure I will find out soon enough either way. :)

Good luck to ya.

Garrett.
