Pretty much every electrical item in the UK will work her in Australia, I’ve never had a problem with any.

Very easy to do, just Google your model. Usually involves pressing a combination of buttons on your remote. We brought our UK dvd player (which had already been set to multi region) which works. Plus we purchased an Aussie blu-ray player which has been set to multi region and plays all discs.

Assuming you are in fact from the UK then I think everything is fine, as stated by the others.
If you are not from the UK (as some of us on here aren't) then it would depend on where you're from.

The only slight issue is if the DVD player is locked to one region - you will need to unlock it or get a new one [cheap as chips though].
If the plasma contains a digital tv tuner it may not work here [depends if the manufacturer has included multi-country circuitry] but that can be quickly fixed with a digital set-top box.

)Keep the UK DVD player to play UK DVD's, dont bother buying a new one when you get here, you'll be too busy doing BBQ's and hitting the beach. Actually Perth winters might need a aussie region DVD player.

Lots of previous posts on this if you care to use the search facility!
The answer is yes but you may need some set box thing depending on TV.
