Cairns - too hot in the summer and humidity too oppressive. Nice place to holiday in though. Gold Coast - have to say a bit touristy. Sure there are other places than surfers but its still a bit high rise. Sunshine Coast - lovely but too far away from Brisbane for my liking and cuts down opportunities for work and the like. |

Jobs - yes....and specially for tradies.
Things to do - oodles.....and plenty for free. Traffic jams - no. Friendly - very. Much more so than I experienced in Brisbane and Gold Coast. (not talking expats here) Hubble bubble - yes.....if you want it. Peace and quiet - yes.....if you want it. Crowded - no. City ? - they call it one but it's not in the same vein as Brissie etc. (good) Variety - full of it. Visuals - stunning in so many ways. Yep, it's CAIRNS :) |
