Were going to nip down to the beach for a bit of a swim - may be we'll give it a miss today Not sure we would get there anyway - that many trees down along the road. The council came out really quick to remove a huge one on the Gold Coast Highway yesterday, but probably got enough on their plates to worry about side roads

On a happier note, we have loads of fancy birds sitting on our veranda out of the wind and rain - Wasting loads of time looking them up

Anyone noticed a funny taste in their water since we have had this bad weather? Our water has become undrinkable, cant even use if for cooking or tea or coffee. It has a very strong taste of soil.

Haven't noticed but we used to live in a waterboard property in UK. Pour a pint of water in a glass then hold it up to light it wouldn't normally be clear if contamintated. Probably have floater bits in as well.

Maybe it's because the dams down to the dregs.

Just checked the weather site and they have changed their mind rain and wind cancelled for now it's gone out to sea...looks like the water restrictions are staying for now unless you live on the Gold Coast.

Unlikely to head south, but it could end up in the Gulf of Carpentaria where it could be re-born.

You will probably end up with a tropical rain depression which will dump a huge amount of water, fill the dams to overflowing & resulting in flooding chaos in BrisVegas.

Pretty normal day really.

At least the dams would be full for a change... .

Last one still caused some rough weather.
