Water restrictions and growing veg!
Hi I havent lived in Oz for 10 years now.I know about the watering restrictions ect but was wondering how people manage now to grow their own fruit and veg?10 years ago this was'nt an issue at all but seems now it is?My Mum told me recently apart from restrictions, she had to obtain a license to use a watering can!!!!Can veg survive growing on these restrictions? When I lived in Oz,I had no problem at all because of free use of mains water and also we had a very large water tank which was never empty!Any help much appreciated!

I think they advise that untreated greywater cannot be used on fruit or vegetable gardens.

We have as big a tank as we could get without requiring planning permission, taking the rain off the garage roof. It's been enough for us to keep the vegie garden and fruit trees going and we drink it too. We thought about the grey water recycling but at the moment dont need it, maybe later.

Are also designing a fixed deck which can be pulled across too cover the pool (to stop evaporation) and provide additonal outside entertaining space when required.
