Cheers,

From what Ive read and heard on this issue I understand that the only restriction is garden sprinkers. I live on the Isle of Man, UK and I cant use a hosepipe before 6pm for the foreseable future this year, so Im already ready for the brissie restrictions. (when I get there eventually)

The OLD Brisbane restriction was:

"Brisbane's previous regulations allowed hand-held hoses and sprinklers from 6 to 10am and 2 to 10pm on three days, depending on house numbers, and there were varying times at night for automatic sprinklers. "

The NEW current restriction is:

"Stage ONE: sprinkler usage in Brisbane and nine surrounding local authorities, will be completely banned on Mondays, with an odds and evens street address sprinkler rotation restricted to between the hours of 7pm and 7am. Hand-held hoses will be permitted at any time."

These COULD change to:
"Stage two would see lawn and garden watering restricted to hand-held hosing only. Stage three is a total ban on watering, except for watering by bucket. "

For anyone who heard on the radio that Gold Coast, Caboolture and Redcliffe are not included in the new restrictions, the reason is that they "will continue with restrictions that are already tougher than the proposed ones."

Has anyone seen or heard the water restriction adverts on tv or radio yet? There was supposed to be an advertising 'blitz' starting yesterday.

Cheers,
