Exclamation Watch Out For The Magpies!!!

Hi there forum members,
I expect some of you already know, but in the school newsletter yesterday, it advised that magpie swooping season is upon us again. So watch out, watch out, there are mad magpies about!!!!I know they are only protecting nests, but do go careful. Our daughter got attacked last year and the magpie drew blood from her face. So be careful, regards Louisa

I saw a magpie swoop 3 times at a woman and child in a buggy during the week - frightening stuff and she was very upset.

If attacked put your head down and cover your face, ideally have kids wear a brimmed hat.

Our local school told us it only last for 3 weeks during this part of the year then it stops.

Echo your comment - be careful.

Hi Louisa,

My sister in law lives in Perth and she has had this horrible experience, the kids were terrified. I am hoping to emigrate to Perth and hate birds to start with I think I will buy the biggest ever umberella and arm myself with it....
