Wanted Down Under

I have been to Australia for longer than a week and will be off over there in the near future. They don't live there and nor do I and I have no wish to appear on TV when I go over there, so what on earth are you droning on about? Think you're clutching at straws, nice try 2 out of 10
Good luck to Paul & family I hope it works out for them

No quite connected to the current flow, but on todays WDU in the Bondi flat there was what looked like a Sky remot control on the sofa.
Do any other providers use the same remote or could this just be a ploy to make us all think Sky is mutually available across Oz?

Why are some people getting so hetup about this
its just a television programme, no one is forcing anyone to watch it. Its just a bit of light entertainment about Australia, showing properties and a little bit of the surrounding areas and possible job opportunities. No harm in that
Its not a serious documentary about applying for a visa, and it wasn't advertised as one.

hi all, well i like the show at least its a little something to give us an idea what it will be like. And anyone with intelligence will realise that its not all going to be as rose tinted as they show.plus we need to consider that every family is different so we all will have different experiences. Its just nice to have a look into what other people make of oz and get a little info in the process.
ANYONE who has any experiences of Canberra,ACT and any info I can include in our visa application please e-mail me Thanks

Odd they don't manage to go to Australia's second largest city in 20 programs... did they piss someone from the Melbourne Tourist board off?

Yes, I can just imagine how the BBC - full of their own importance - asked for a few freebies and didn't get any. Or maybe, Melbourne is "full"
.Most likely, someone from the BBC sitting at their desk in London looked at a map of Oz, decided that Melbourne and Sydney are kind of next to each other and decided they only needed to visit one of them

Having doubts as to whether I can do this financially does not mean that I am basing my decision on coming over because of the TV show. What I meant was that some of the houses that I have seen on the show for that price bracket was higher than I had anticipated. My family and I are still taking the plunge I just don't know if we'll have enough money to buy the house that we would like to without me having to work. I hope this is a clearer picture and not too bizarre.
