Re: Wanted Down Under 2010
To watch it on BBC iplayer in OZ you need to use one of those hide your IP address progrmas, which is the best free one, are there any probelms or trouble you can get with using them, Your internet service provider gives you your IP address do so they mind if you use a program to hide it .

Re: Wanted Down Under 2010
Well done both - just watched your episode sportsendurance, thought it was great & they weren't too mean with the editing at all I thought...though of course, only you know what they could have put in
So are you there yet? I wondered if you had thought about moving to Melbourne, where you would have the support for Louise but without having to have the in-laws actually living with you...or did you decide Perth was for you? Anyway - best wishes to you both - great programme & I was going off WDU!!! |

Yep! Our lease runs out in August 2011 so we're thinking we'll pack up in June or July and head out then. Plus it won't be too hot in Sydney so we can delude ourselves about the weather for a few months!

Re: Wanted Down Under 2010
Has this series of WDU been sponsored by Darwin? The show should be renamed 'Darwin down under' or 'wanted in Darwin'!!! Seems like every other episode is Darwin!!
I have nothing against Darwin and the show has no doubt been fantastic news for anyone moving there (or Auckland for that matter) but think it would have been nice to have had at least 1 Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide rather than Darwin every other day!! Its a shame as it used to be quite good but all I keep hearing is Nikki with the 'that all looks very inviting...' rant over, think you've guessed I'm not heading to Darwin... |

Re: Wanted Down Under 2010
Well I think series 4 has had 5 darwins, series 3 had 2 darwins that I remember and before that I dont remember any! A bit ironic as we were desperate for a darwin one before we arrived here in Darwin - such is life!!

Re: Wanted Down Under 2010
Just seen Sportendurance's WDU, and I agree Louise does look fab, can't believe she's 31 - she only looks 23. (Lucky her)
Nicky Chapman did have a new phrase tho - "Lets hope his moves are as silky as his shirt" LOL. |
Re: Wanted Down Under 2010

Re: Wanted Down Under 2010
No NOT a secret 11th Feb i think but dreading it. Trying to think of some new phrases Nicki can use.
Something to aspire to replaced by OOOH Thats very different from the UK. After F/F Oh dear, will this throw the whole move in jeopardy REPLACED BY Oh dear, are the family sure they made the right move This house is slightly (ie 140k) over budget but something for the family to aspire to... replaced by This house is slightly (ie 140k) under budget and not to everyones taste but typical of the area the family have decided to live, could you make the sacrifice and the move. 4 OUT OF 5 VOTED THE SAME WAY ON THE FINAL VOTE. Re: Wanted Down Under 2010
Really looking forward to the re-visited, got slightly bored with WDU this year, Darwen & Auckland overkill me thinks :sneaky:
Can't help wondering if the crocs have eaten all the residents of Darwen and now they are trying to fill the place back up. No offence to anyone on WDU. Really think the BBC need to invest in a voice over next year, instead of some totally un-interested presenter just using the same 1/2 dozen lines for 20 episodes:eek: I know Nadia Sawahla used to get slated on this site but as least she interacted with the families. |
Re: Wanted Down Under 2010
NNNNNOOOOOO! How on earth can you take that away from the presenter, what no free trip to stand on a beach that could be Cornwall (maybe it is?) and say repetitive things.........it makes the show!!!!
Now where is my sick bucket:rofl:

Re: Wanted Down Under 2010
Does anyone know what has happened to the family from Ayrshire (I think they were from there) who were in Darwin (she was a mental health nurse)?
|
Re: Wanted Down Under 2010
No, but they live 5 mins away from me. I'll drive past their house n see if its sold. Only joking LOL. ;)
My sister is a mental health nurse, It's a small place, I'll ask her if she knows anything? |
Re: Wanted Down Under 2010

Re: Wanted Down Under 2010
All the old bits where a bit long winded and we had seen their 1st revisted last year I think. The bit where he was in the butchers and had become manager. The police bit was new and personally I quite enjoyed watching the episode. I enjoyed seeing the second update about the police. :)

I felt sorry for the "Revisited" couple today who had set their hearts on New Zealand but everything went wrong to shatter their dream.

His Sydney summary was something like Beautiful Sydney, amazing place to live, however it is the most expensive place to live in the world. Don't be surprised if all you can afford to buy is a run down house miles away from the Harbour. |
