That's what I meant
I checked the BBC website and just saw an episode which was first on the list so assumed it was todays. But now thinking about it, Today's episode has aired so it must be the next one coming up. Sorry! |

Re: Wanted Down Under 2010
I'm behind on the old WDU as the OH refuses to watch them so no catching up at the weekend LOL! I watched the one the other day though with the woman who was clearly getting her own way regardless of what the husband wanted. All I can say is good luck to them! I thought it somewhat ominous that both of them 'joked' about Divorce Down Under. I wonder if that would be 'very different to their life back in the Uk....' :p
In other news, Nicky Chapman gets worse every episode, she really has all the personality of a ream of paper. Tx |

Re: Wanted Down Under 2010
They definitely need a new presenter. She can do nothing but smile in a vaguely interested way. Today for example she was smiling away when talking about the poor guy being in hospital - no sense of sympathy or concern in her voice or expression at all!

Re: Wanted Down Under 2010
I'm always too busy trying to see if she's super-imposed onto the beach background. I think that everything has been filmed in a studio and on the same day. She's been given 10 different outfits and 30 different phrases and lost the will to live after a couple of hours!

Yep and she doesn't look directly into the camera a lot of the time. She must be reading off cue cards, although you think she'd have memorized it all by now. |

Well, that all looks very inviting So, very different to their life back in the UK Oh dear, will this throw the whole move in jeopardy This house is slightly (ie 140k) over budget but something for the family to aspire to... ...all said as if we've been hitting the valium a little too hard. And that's it! I forward all of her bits now, get straight to the houses and jobs, skip to the final vote and then that's it. So each episode is about 15 mins max, perfect! |

Re: Wanted Down Under 2010
Lol
I'm sorry but Louise is far too small with not an ounce of fat on her, thats not right, 3 kids she should have the tuck in tummy fat going on at least? It is hard when your hubby really wants to go - I hope she likes it, if it makes her feel better I have 4 kids, a dodgy heart and have to manage all 4 kids while my husband works shift and we have family within walking and short driving distance who do absolutely sod all !!! It's do-able upsetting sometimes but do-able. I want to know how they got they're little girl to crash out on the sofa like that? Nice family, why aren't they going to Melbourne though then they would have family close by to help ? If it'd make a difference? Bless her I wouldn't want to share my home with my inlaws but then again it would be blood shed if it was my inlaws lol |

Re: Wanted Down Under 2010
Louise says thank you JenJen. They got her age wrong (31 not 28) although I would say she does look 28! We are a little surprised that they focussed so much on my parents coming with us as it was only a small thought and very unlikely to happen. Thankfully it's been and gone now and I'll jut wait for the piss take tomorrow from both the kids and staff!!
Looking forward now to the Revisited, I think in a week or so Alan |

Re: Wanted Down Under 2010
Hi just wanted to say I saw this episode today and you and your family came across as very nice people unlike some previous families.
When are you planning your move? Best of luck to you all. |

However, Zenshin I hope you weren't including us as one of the previous families who weren't!!!!! :fingerscrossed: Only joking, that is unless you were!!! We're looking forward to the Revisited too next week and hopefully being back on ourselves in the near future!! |
Re: Wanted Down Under 2010
Just finished watching today's episode - really enjoyed it! So good to see someone with some knowledge as a result of researching a possible move

Re: Wanted Down Under 2010
Ha!ha! Got no idea if I have seen your family on it before. Don't get to watch it that often. Your name doesn't ring any bells.
I know there is loads of editing and sometimes they probably make the families seem worse than they really are. Just really don't understand why sometimes one of the couple is very resistant to the idea and then tries to focus on every petty thing for a reason not to go. It almost seems childish. I think although the lady on the show today wasn't too sure, she at least seemed happy and open to it. |
Re: Wanted Down Under 2010
I have just watched today's episode too and am glad to finally put a face to a name!
I'm glad you decided to move in the end. It's may be difficult but you never know until you try. Good on Louise for being brave! She may just absolutely love it! I agree she looks much younger than her age of even 28 as the BBC incorrectly stated never mind 31! Can I have some of whatever she's got? to both of you! |
Re: Wanted Down Under 2010
Quite enjoyed the programme but why do they have to be so damn misleading. They sent him off to the 'local' secondary school. The local school to Carramar is Wanneroo SHS. No, they send him to Hale. One of the most prestigious private schools in Perth and at $15k a year out of 99% of migrants reach! Shame on you WDU, I won't be watching again.
